The director of the 4th Globe International Silent Film Festival has been announced.
The board of directors of The Globe International Silent Film Festival has now chosen its director.
The 3rd festival took place in University of Wisconsin-Madison in April 21-29, 2018 and was truly welcomed by all the students and the audience. The director of the 3rd edition, Raha Amirfazli, recommended the current director, Ali Rabbi, to the board and based on the festival’s policy he was validated and had been named the director of the 4th Globe International Silent Film Festival among the other options.
Ali Rabbi, born in 1998, is a member of Elites Foundation and a cinema student. He had been studying cinema in Art University of Tehran , Faculty of Cinema and Theater since 2016, and he is currently a member and the deputy director of the cinema academic association of Art University of Tehran.
The Globe International Silent Film Festival has been working on creating a way to broadcast silent movies worldwide since the year 2016 and in light of the festival’s policy to gather and release the filmmaker’s work in circulation all over the world, the 4th festival will follow the same policy in 2019.
